Shane Johnson joins FairCom as head of marketing
Addition latest move in increasing company’s presence in database and IoT markets

COLUMBIA, Mo. — One of the most trusted names in the database industry, FairCom, announced the addition of Shane Johnson to lead its marketing efforts. Johnson brings more than a dozen years of experience in database and middleware marketing.
Johnson will play a key role in increasing FairCom’s presence in the database and Industrial IoT (IIoT) data integration space by overseeing global marketing efforts for the FairCom family of products and services. The product line includes the FairCom DB unified multimodel database, the FairCom EDGE IIoT hub and MQTT broker, and the c-treeRTG data management solution for COBOL modernization.
Johnson joins FairCom after spending the past decade in marketing leadership positions at database vendors MariaDB Corporation, where he launched MariaDB Platform and SkySQL, and Couchbase, where he raised their profile to one of the three leading NoSQL database providers. Prior to that, he worked at Red Hat, where he spearheaded technical and developer marketing for JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and JBoss Data Grid.
