15 years ago FairCom introduced multimodel database technology when we added a full relational SQL engine to our non-relational key-value (ISAM based) core. Our journey over the past 15 years has been to deliver No+SQL technology that offers all of the benefits of a SQL engine “plus” the benefits of a non-relational NoSQL model. The sweet spot to our c-treeACE is not that it can be one or the other, but that it achieves the perfect blend right in the middle. Over the years we chose not to pick a side, but leveraged our expertise in both models. This allowed us to innovate possibilities that are not strictly limited to “NoSQL” or “SQL.” For example, we offer NoSQL transactions that are ACID compliant and SQL access to non-relational data. It is this space between—the “+” in our No+SQL database technology—that separates us from the other database vendors. We call this No+SQL synergy.
As we’ve continued to enhance the integration between the relational and non, we’ve seen the many ways our customers’ real world, mission-critical applications have amazed us with their production use of it. Today at FairCom, we are looking to how we might expand this architecture even more by adding another NoSQL data model— document store. What amazing solutions could our customers develop if we empower developers with No+SQL synergy that is SQL+KVS+Doc? Our own internal research has shown us exciting possibilities, but we’d like to hear directly from you!
