On-demand webinar highlights utilizing FairCom EDGE as an MQTT broker
Developers learn how FairCom EDGE enhances data transmission and data use in IoT environments
Data is the lifeblood of an IoT or IIoT environment. Capturing and using some of the data is the easy part. Capturing and using all of the data is the hard part.

In this on-demand webinar, “How to collect, store and query IoT data with MQTT + SQL,” developers learn how to make the entire process easy by detailing how developers can utilize FairCom EDGE to enhance data transmission and data use in a wide range of environments, ranging from simple IoT networks to complex IIoT environments. The webinar is hosted by FairCom Chief Architect Mike Bowers and Head of Marketing Shane Johnson.
FairCom EDGE is a data management solution that is built specifically for IoT, edge-computing and Industry 4.0 environments. In addition to being an MQTT broker, FairCom EDGE is an IIoT integration hub and includes a full-featured database. The database allows MQTT data to be queried using SQL, which is a benefit that is not available with most MQTT brokers or integration hubs.
“Due to the protocol limitations, it is difficult to capture all MQTT data,” Johnson said. “FairCom EDGE solves this problem because it can be deployed as a dedicated MQTT broker, which parses messages and maps them to tables within its underlying relational database for persistence as well as access via standard SQL.”
Watch now to learn how to:
– Get started with MQTT
– Map MQTT messages to relational tables
– Query MQTT messages with SQL
