c-tree Plus®

c-tree Plus gives developers unprecedented control over their data management needs and is the premier choice for commercial database development. It can be used to develop single user and peer-to-peer applications or client-side applications for FairCom's robust database servers -- the c-tree Servers and c-treeSQL Servers. c-tree Plus is distributed with complete C source code, has been ported to over 100 environments, and includes a robust database Server SDK.

c-tree Plus includes transaction processing features as well as features like: fixed and variable length records and keys; file level alternate collating sequence; duplicate keys and/or automatic sequence numbers; native operating system I/O utilization for maximum portability; dynamic space reclamation; high speed hashed data and index caching; multiple simultaneous sets/batches; resource records; superfiles; and much more. All functions are fully ANSI prototyped.

It includes rich API's providing low-level routines, ISAM-level control, higher-level C and C++ interfaces, .NET support, and VCL/CLX components for Borland developers.

We have reviewed Oracle and some of the other big relational databases and chose FairCom for our database development needs. With c-tree Plus, we see transactional volume that is 8 to 10 times faster than what we can get with other databases. I have been using c-tree based solutions since the 80's and highly recommend it for any type of transactional data storage.
