c-treeVCL/CLX - Data access components for Borland environments

c-treeVCL/CLX, FairCom's VCL and CLX components for c-tree Plus, brings the proven performance and reliability of c-tree Plus to developers working in Delphi, C++Builder, and Kylix environments. This eliminates any need for the Borland Database Engine (BDE) and provides greater functionality and far less overhead.

As a TDataSet descendent, the c-tree Plus VCL and CLX components can be used directly with all Delphi, Kylix, and C++ Builder data access components such as DBGrid, DBNavigator, DBEdit, etc. You can take advantage of c-tree's portability and support Windows, Unix or Linux back-ends for your Windows client applications.

c-treeVCL/CLX can be used with FairCom's standalone (non-server) or client/server operational model. No code changes are required to move from standalone to client/server.

The VCL components support Delphi versions 4-7 and C++Builder versions 4-6. The CLX components support Kylix Desktop and Kylix Enterprise versions 1-3. Note that these components will not work with Kylix Open Edition as the Open Edition does not include database support.

c-treeVCL/CLX is included with c-tree Plus at no additional charge. Full source code for the VCL and CLX components is also included.

The c-treeSQL server is amazing! We benefit greatly from being able to access c-treeSQL tables through the c-treeDB C++ API and the ESQL code both in the same application. We just compile the ESQL code separately using your esqlc and gcc, and then declare it as 'extern "C"' in the main C++ app code. It links and runs nicely. Good job FairCom!

We've used FairCom c-tree server for over 20 years.
