Summer offered a change of seasons for a couple of FairCom team members as they headed down under. Good thing they packed coats and scarves as they left sunny 90º+ (Fahrenheit for us U.S. folks) weather for a July winter break. Nearly three weeks were spent with customers from Australia and New Zealand. Travels included Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. Many old acquaintances were revisited as well as new ones welcomed to the FairCom family.
Long time customers Attaché (since 1979!) and Synovate Aztek were seen in Sydney and Zeacom in Auckland, NZ. Customers in the media, small business accounting, utility and telecom industries represented a wide swath of applications all using FairCom database technology. The software development community demonstrated their strong presence in this remarkable region of the world. We appreciate time spent with all of our customer partners.
FairCom truly enjoys meeting the people that use our technology. There are rumors that the FairCom employees who went on this expedition also took in a few of the region’s sights along the way (snorkeling, wine tasting, etc.) but those rumors have yet to be substantiated.
To everyone we had the privilege to visit, THANK YOU! Your hospitality was most welcoming. To anyone we happened to miss — anywhere — let us know. We’ll be happy to stop in on our next excursion. And Yes! There will be a next time.
